In painting ‘Windows to Other Worlds I’ I wanted the piece to radiate a sense of transcendence, which invites the viewer into an ethereal, layered universe where architecture and nature blend seamlessly. Read my Studio Story to find out more about this piece.

1 in a series of 4 and part of my “Enlightened Worlds” collection, Deep Waters 1 stands alone but is part of a Tetraptych. I find joy in creating three or four pieces together, allowing brush marks and patterns to emerge across separate canvases.

This original abstract oil painting commissioned for a holistic therapy room features bright pinks, oranges, and reds and includes fragments of magpie feathers I've picked up when walking that represent the souls of loved ones who have passed away and moved to another realm.

Welsh castles have always fascinated me, but Harlech Castle holds a special place in my heart, thanks to the many beautiful holidays I’ve spent there. In this piece, the castle’s architecture seamlessly blends with the rolling mountains of Snowdonia, with accents that evoke the mists of time and history.

Sker House is a historic gem and one of the prominent Elizabethan houses in South Wales. Originally constructed over 900 years ago as a monastic grange for the Cistercian order, it stands just outside the town of Porthcawl, near Bridgend where I grew up. I spent countless weekends with my parents walking past Sker House, embedding it deeply in my childhood memories.

While painting this commissioned piece with a blend of oil paints, charcoal, and inks, I was inspired by listening to “Why Should I Love You?” from Kate Bush’s 1991 album, The Red Shoes. It feels only fitting to honor this work with a title that pays homage to my favorite musician of all time.

Wonderful Whitby, what can I say? From my first visit, I felt an uncanny sense of familiarity unlike anywhere else I’ve been. I was commissioned to paint two pieces: Whitby Lighthouse and Staithes Harbour, capturing their essence in a monochrome style that plays abstractly with light and shadow.
